Introduction

Vendo-powered marketplaces can easily onboard hundreds of sellers, allowing marketplace owners to create a remarkable offer for their customers. Quite often, though, the products that sellers sync from their existing Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento stores need to be curated to be showcased on the Vendo-powered marketplace's storefront in a uniform way.

This article explains how Vendo marketplace owners can bulk curate their products on a Vendo-powered marketplace using the export and import of product catalog CSV files in the following steps:

Generate products CSV export.

There are two options for exporting product CSV files. Vendo marketplace owners can export all the products from the marketplace or only a selection of products. In both cases, the export functionality is available from the product listing page in the marketplace admin dashboard.

Once the CSV product export is completed, the marketplace owner receives an email notification with the export file as an attachment.

Please Note! Depending on the number of products, it can take up to a few minutes.

Working with the product export file

Please note! Only attributes marked as editable (YES) are editable. Non-editable attributes are only for reference and to aid marketplace owners in the product curation process.

Importing curated CSV product file

After editing the product fields in the CSV file, the marketplace owner can import the curated CSV file to the Vendo-powered marketplace.

  1. Go to Products in the admin dashboard.

  2. Click the Import button to open an upload popup.

  3. Drag the curated import file to the designated area (a new popup will appear)

  4. Click Continue button

  5. Another page will appear:

  6. Click Continue again

  7. A confirmation screen appears:

  8. It is possible to add some minor changes at this stage or click the Save and Finalize button, which will trigger the file processing.

Please Note: Processing a full import can take up to 20-30 minutes.

During processing, a screen displaying the import status is presented - this tab can be closed during the import process.

Once the product import process is complete, the marketplace owner receives an email confirmation with a link to the import report.

With functionalities such as bulk product curation, Vendo significantly reduces the time marketplace owners spend on marketplace product unification.
