Create Product Feed in Klaviyo

  1. Login to Klaviyo

  2. Go to Content / Products

  3. Click Add Custom Products button

  4. Click Add New Source button

  5. Name the source, and copy the values from point Vendo (point 4)

  6. Click the “Define” button to save

  7. You will return to the list of sources. First, the status will be displayed as pending, but it will soon change to “Sync Complete.” That means your products are now synced with Klaviyo

Occasionally, the status may change to “Feed Mapping Valid.” Unfortunately, some values were not mapped correctly and may need to be selected in the edit menu.

  8. Go back to products, and you should see a list of all your active products.

Setup Klaviyo feed and email template (Back-in-stock email configuration)

  1. In Klaviyo Dashboard, go to Flows (menu on the left-hand side).

  2. Click “Create Flow” and use Create from scratch option in the corner.

  3. Name the flow (i.e. "Back in stock") and click the "Create flow" button. It's the internal name, not visible you the customers

  4. Add the new trigger.

  5. Click on the "All triggers" menu on the right-hand side, and choose "Metric".

  6. Find "Subscribed to Back in Stock" metric as a trigger.

  7. Add timing element, choose back in stock Delay

  8. Add email element

Create "Back in stock" notification email template

Once the flow structure is all set, you can now build the "Back in Stock" notification email template.

  1. Choose your Back in stock flow

  2. Click on the section called "Back to Stock Email #1"

  3. Click Edit button in the menu on the left to edit the template.

  4. Drag and drop a text element to the email canvas.

  5. Copy and paste the text in the first text section using text or the HTML code shared below:

    1. COPY & PASTE THIS TEXT:

      The wait is over!

Good news - {% catalog event.VariantId %}{{ catalog_item.title }}{% endcatalog %} is now back in stock. Grab it before it's gone!

    2. COPY & PASTE THIS HTML CODE:

      <h2 style="text-align: center;">The wait is over!</h2>
      <p>Good news -&nbsp;<a href="{% catalog event.VariantId %}{{ catalog_item.url }}{% endcatalog %}">{% catalog event.VariantId %}{{ catalog_item.title }}{% endcatalog %}</a> is now back in stock. Grab it before it's gone!</p>

  6. Add image element and set it to dynamic image. Add dynamic variable:

    {% catalog event.VariantId %}{{ catalog_item.variant.featured_image.full.src|default:catalog_item.featured_image.full.src }}{% endcatalog %}

  7. Add another text section (below image) and copy and paste the dynamic information using text or the HTML code shared below:

    1. COPY & PASTE THIS TEXT:

      {% catalog event.VariantId %}{% currency_format catalog_item.metadata|lookup:"$price" %}{% endcatalog %}

    2. COPY & PASTE THIS HTML CODE:

      <div>{% catalog event.VariantId %}{% currency_format catalog_item.metadata|lookup:"$price" %}{% endcatalog %}</div>

      It should look like this:

You can adjust the design of the email or the copy, but the automated values should remain as copied.

All that is left is to save the template and push to the live mode.

You can browse the customers with waitlisted items on the products screen of Klaviyo or in the customer section. Once the products are back in stock, we need some time for Klaviyo to sync back with Vendo, and the emails will be sent automatically.
